It resonates deeply, and, as you write about Mary’s joy and also the sword piercing her soul, why I find the statue of the Pieta - Mary holding the body of Christ in her arms after the crucifixion - such a powerful image alongside that of her holding the infant Jesus at the nativity. The joy and the sorrow, and the miracle of her motherly love.
I have tears reading about your cemetery encounter. Praying for comfort and peace for Christian. How amazing to be involved in a “Christmas Camp!” What a blessing for those who are able to participate!
