Oh how I would enjoy more of your Blue Ribbon Fridays !!!

We had a grand week of errands and laziness and it was magical ! In between dentist appointments and Camp Invention for one we spent hours poolside or plopped Infront of as many fans as we could. Twice this week I made omelettes for dinner because that's all I could muster. After an extremely hard school year I finally feel like I'm catching my breath. I needed this week with my kids something fierce.

The highlight of my week was lunch and a Target run today with my best friend of 45 years (whaaattt?) So much fun.

Since you enjoyed that painting class, you may enjoy andrea.nelson.art on Instagram. So many beautiful, doable projects.

I vote yes to more Blue Ribbon posts! And I’m loving my social media vacation. It began after reading Digital Minimalism, and I may never wanna return.

Wow, how I can relate! I do the same thing... go to the grocery store, the tailgate market, etc., see all these luscious fruits and veggies and (in my head) plan all these wonderful meals. Alas, they rarely happen.

Couch naps - can't remember the last time I had one of those - unless you count falling asleep "watching" something on television :).

Social Media Breaks - I haven't taken a break, per se, but don't scroll much any more.. I do however, love to post encouraging things and pictures of dogs and cats in need of homes.

Going to the beach - can't do it unless it's a weekend - it's at least a five hour drive :( - we have lakes though!

Mocha Almond Fudge Ice Cream - sounds absolutely delicious!

Siding Clips - not sure what "TL/DR means??

Immediately Saying Yes/Try Something New - Love, love, love those Poppies -Pssst... I would buy those!

In all seriousness, I so enjoy your writing.

The song by the Cars, Summer was running through my mind as I read this edition BRF, 2.0. I agree whole heartedly about mocha almond fudge ice cream! Has been a favorite of mine. I wish summer didn’t include 100 degree days and outrageous humidity. That said, this week I enjoyed watering my plants morning and evening, a local coffee shop makes my favorite summer drink, lavender-honey lemonade so I made a special trip just for that, I took naps multiple afternoons and my daughter and I made first purchases for her dorm room in the Fall. I’m reading Liturgy of Politics and so thankful for smart, wise compassionate women!
