I come to you tonight as the living, breathing manifestation of a counterweight. The world is heavy, and my posts here have reflected that. I’m not sorry! (I know you don’t expect me to be.) Desperate times, etc…

We could all use a little lightness.

As you know, I get a ton of joy from thrifting and buying secondhand. 90% of what I own is secondhand. It’s a supremely joyful way to live. It’s cost effective, gentler on our world, and gives us that creative surge we crave. Every find is a surprise!

But it would be dishonest to give the impression that I don’t buy anything retail, or that I don’t occasionally splurge.
